Inserts For Plastics
BANC-LOK are press-in expansion inserts which, due to their diamond knurl pattern, give minimum penetration of the sides of the hole without sacrificing pull-out resistance. This makes them ideally suitable for applications into hard thermosetting plastics. Headed and reverse headed versions are also available.

FIN-LOK is a press-in insert which can be easily installed into most thermoplastic materials. It features a combination of sharp fins and straight knurls. Unlike the Press-Lok range, this insert has a free running thread. Headed and stud versions are also available.

PRESS-LOK is a press-in expansion insert designed for use in thermoplastic mouldings. It has been developed to give the ease of installation associated with this type of fastener but without the high screw installation torque which has previously been typical. The incorporation of plain and knurled vanes gives levels of pull-out and torque resistance usually expected from heat installed inserts.

SCREW-SERT is a self-tapping insert suitable for installation into a wide range of thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic materials. They are particularly suitable for applications involving high jack-out loading and materials with low core strengths. Headed and stud versions also available.

SONIC-LOK, is designed for rapid installation into thermoplastics using heat or ultrasonics. It features opposed helical knurl bands to provide a combination of high torque and pull out resistance. Headed and stud versions are also available.

SPIRO has been designed to cope with the difficulties presented by hard brittle thermoset materials. The sharp precision knurl pattern cuts into these materials reducing radial stresses and allowing thinner boss walls than many other inserts. Headed and stud versions also available.

Sheet Metal Fasteners - Riveting Types
ANCHOR RIVET BUSH (ARB) is a threaded fastener which incorporates a serrated shank. This shank when riveted over, cuts into the surface of the sheet, giving high torque resitance and firmly retaining the bush in position.

Direct Screw Fixings
The DURO-PT SCREW is a direct screw fastener for use in thermosetting plastics. The design incorporates many unique features which provide designers with a really effective direct screw fixing for these materials. The cutting notch combined with the profiled thread root and special thread form provides low installation and high stripping torques.
The efficient removal of cutting debris ensures greatly reduced bursting forces, providing the solution to a common problem associated with conventional self tapping screws, when used in thermosets.

The PT SCREW is a direct screw fastener for use in thermoplastics.
The key design aspects include a profiled thread root to assist plastic flow, a 30° flank angle to reduce boss bursting forces and an 8° pitch angle which combine to give low installation torques with high stripping torques.
For those applications not requiring the high levels of thread re-use and high clamping torque, (properties associated with threaded inserts) PT® screw offers an economical solution to plastics assembly and has distinct advantages over other direct screw fixings.

They combine simple press-in installation with high retention properties and remove any danger of cracking or shattering of the board. A stand-off version is also available.
